Precision Protein

Precision Protein
Precision Protein marks the beginning of a new era in whey-protein formulation and
supplementation. For years, whey has been revered as the
quality protein source for fitness enthusiasts and athletes. Boasting
possibly the highest biological value of any naturally occurring
protein, its reputation and popularity are well deserved. However,
recent scientific evidence suggests the benefits of whey protein
for athletes may go well beyond its ability to supply quality
amino acids to hungry muscles.
Protein scientists have discovered that whey, in
its natural state, contains a variety of bioactive compounds generally
referred to as "protein microfractions." These powerful
compounds may offer numerous positive biological effects to hard-training
athletes, including: immune-system reinforcement, antioxidant
protection, and even possible support of muscle-tissue repair
and regeneration.
Isolation and stabilization of these fragile microfraction
proteins is a very difficult and technical process. In the past,
most of the methods of whey processing and isolation used extreme
temperatures and acidic conditions, thus destroying these valuable
microfractions. Only recently have new extraction techniques been
developed and employed which may make it possible to isolate and
stabilize protein microfractions in a finished whey-protein powder.
The two most advanced techniques, known as ion exchange
and ultrafiltration, are used in combination to create
Precision Protein - a high quality, microfraction-rich
whey protein.
In addition to Precision Protein's extraordinary
microfraction profile, it's fortified with key amino acids, including:
glutamine (in peptide form), taurine, and glycine, which may support
cell volumizing and protein metabolism. The conditionally essential
amino acid arginine has also been added to this formula to help
support growth-factor production. And, the amino acid phenylalanine
is included to reinforce the overall amino acid profile of the
Precision Protein formula and boost its biological value.
Precision Protein is also
the only whey-protein supplement available on the sports nutrition
market which contains the patented proteolytic enzyme complex
Aminogen®. This unique enzymatic compound has been
shown in recent scientific research to possibly assist protein
assimilation by creating protein peptides and preferentially liberating
branched-chain amino acids from whole proteins.
